Thursday - Saturday, 4 - 6 October
DAY 1. Combining New and Old
9.30 - 11.00
Welcome breakfast and private tour with curator, Palazzo Bembo. You will see projects by Curtis Fentress, Fumihiko Maki, Odile Decq, Ideal Spaces, Mark Harris, Jean-Paul Viguier, Nikken Sekkei, SOM and Daniel Libeskind.

11.00 - 12.30
Case Study: Combining New and Old in Venice.

14.00 - 16.30
Architecture tour around Venice, we will explore Fondaco dei Tedeschi (OMA), Teatro La Fenice (Pietro Bianchi), Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana (Tadao Ando).
DAY 2. DNA of Architecture Biennale
10.00 - 12.00
Dissecting the Venice Biennale: selection procedures, organizational chart and things to know. A lecture on the expanded field of architecture and display.

13.00 - 17.00
Guided tour of the national pavilions followed by free time at Arsenale.
DAY 3. Venice Biennale: National Projects
9.30 - 11.00
Carlo Scarpa: THE Venetian architect of the 20th century.
Tour dedicated to Carlo Scarpa: the most important Venetian architect of the 20th century. the day starts with morning coffee at the Biennale cafe and a tour at the Olivetti showroom, San Marco.

12.00 - 13.00
Architecture of the Giardini National Pavilions .
The tour directs attention to the history of the pavilions, their interior spaces and their relationship to the climate, culture, tradition and environment of the represented countries.

14.00 - 16.30
Guided tour at Central Pavilion followed by free time at Giardini.

16.30 - 18.00
Private boat tour around Venice and Certificate Ceremony.

Who will you learn from
You will meet international experts from all over the world.
Curator ArkDes, Sweden's national centre for architecture and design, European editor at large of ArchDaily, the architecture platform, and LOBBY Magazine.
Board member of the GAA Foundation. Her previous projects included co-curating Norwegian Pavilion and assisting at the South Africa Pavilion, 54th La Biennale di Venezia.

Venice Cultural Heritage Expert. She has worked for UNESCO, and written a book on Venice Master Artisans, along with a number of articles for other books and magazines.
Education and Promotion Consultant at La Biennale di Venezia. Professor at Ca' Foscari University.
