Study Contemporary Architecture in Venice.The course explores the relationship between New and Old. It focuses on architecture and its relationship to public space using the city of Venice as a case study. The curriculum is a balanced combination of theory classes, workshops and visits to Venetian architecture highlights.

July 9-14 | August 6-11
Morning: Meeting with curator of Time-Space-Existence, Palazzo Mora Afternoon: People and Place. A introductory lecture to architecture and its relationship to public space, highlighting themes in the 2018 Venice Architecture Biennale.
Morning: Lecture on Curating Architecture.
Afternoon: Visit to the Venice Architecture Biennale: Giardini. You will discover the best Biennale projects together with Anabel Gelhaar.
Morning:On Representation: Drawing, Modelling and Photography. A lecture examining representation in architecture and design as tools for understanding the built environment. Afternoon: Guided tour with professional architect and Venice architecture expert: City's Architecture highlights - Fondaco dei Tedeschi, OMA; Olivetti Showroom and Fondazione Querini, Carlo Scarpa.
Morning: Roll up your sleeves. Practical workshop by Babau Architecture Bureau Afternoon: Practical workshop (Continued).
Morning: Lecture on Venice for Venetians. Venice for the World. Challenges as a living city. Afternoon: Meeting with curator of the exhibition at Palazzo Bembo.
Certificate ceremony and prosecco. Boat tour around Venice.
Optional visit to the Biennale or pre-selected collateral events.
