The networks I was able to create during last summer's course at the European Cultural Academy have enabled me to put together my first exhibition in Amsterdam, just as much as the exhibitions I viewed and all the knowledge I gained in Venice have.

ECA is an awesome experience for beginners and professionals alike. Beginners can get first-hand insights into the industry of visual arts premium events, and professionals get access to a wide network and can position their work in a global context.

The dynamic relationships and exchange of ideas with fellow students is very valuable. The course gave me a sense of validation and calm regarding the direction of my career and personal path through the world of art and culture.

Second last day in Italy. My brain is overwhelmed with knowledge and questions. Thank you Venice.

I’ve visited Venice Biennale many times before but never quite like this. I had an amazing experience with ECA this week taking their Venice Biennale course, attending classes and exhibitions in historical palazzos and learning about the history and curatorial practices of the biennale. I will forever see Venice in a new light.

All week I emerged into the creative process, I exchanged my ideas and received feedback, I felt recognised and seen - this was really a supportive trip. It gave me a sense of normality, value of my ideas and a lot of new creativity that is freer, more playful and light! Thank you so much!

The opportunity to learn on the "behind the scenes" of the Venice Biennale was invaluable. The Academy nurtured in me the will to pursue a professional experience within the Biennale one day. We studied in the environment full of warmth and joy. It could not have been better!

It was a week of heaven for any artist, overwhelmed by seeing artists immersed in their unique process of creating art. Being in Venice, in that space during the Art biennale, you could see people having a sense of belonging, you would see it in the art, the way they dressed.. they could just be. That on its own was art to me.

Thank you everyone I met in Venice while studying at European Cultural Academy! I wanted to thank you all for the wonderful experiences in Italy.

Architecture courses

Participating at the City Lab Venice 2018 enabled me to immerse myself into the theme of the Biennale “Freespace” and reflect on it during the workshop. I did not only acquire knowledge about Venice and its complexity, but I also gained a new perspective on how free and generous spaces can contribute to the city.

The course reminded us of the way innovations in design, business models, engineering, and art can endure over the centuries. It enabled us to take an interdisciplinary view of the Biennale to extract novel ideas for putting the physical and human environments in action for our own Delta Management School. We'll also take home the numerous things we have learned from each other being an open, curious, and start-up-minded team! Many thanks to the ECA!

The intensity and the diversity of the Venice Studios was one of the strength of the Melbourne program. The students were familiarized with Venice in a very short time and were exposed to a vast array of design themes and approaches which led to iconic, thoughtful and fresh ideas. An enriching and inspiring experience for all, students and staff.

A very inspiring and exciting experience. A full immersion in the Venice context through mind opening lectures and stirring discussions that led to a series of thought provoking design solutions!

I met really amazing people, deeply authentic. I understood what is art: art is everywhere, art can be everything, the process is art not focus on the product. And I can be an artist. Just dare and share.

This has changed my life and me as a person. Grazie.

I loved meeting new people, and hearing their teaching and learning experiences.

I had a great time, it's open minded, full of enthusiasm and very well planned. I felt at ease, I discovered that I enjoyed "making" things, I probably did a drawing for the first time in 30 years!

La formation utiliser les œuvres d’art en classe a parfaitement répondu à mes attentes. Il ne s'agit pas ici d'apprendre à enseigner l'art mais de questionner les pratiques pédagogiques à la lumière de ce que l'art peut apporter à nos pratiques en général.

Une belle formation à Venise dont je repars enrichie grâce notamment au superbe groupe composé de 12 enseignants des 4 coins de France. Je suis partante pour renouveler cette semaine.

Une formation riche en théorie et exemples de mise en pratique afin d'exploiter les œuvres d'art avec des objectifs pédagogiques précis.

Semaine très enrichissante à tous points de vue, dans un cadre magnifique. Les visites guidées dans deux musées (art moderne et Renaissance) étaient très instructives. Les intervenantes de ECA (Hélène et Sara) ont répondu à nos attentes en proposant des pistes de réflexion sur la pratique des arts en classe et leur transversalité. De beaux moments d'échange avec mes collègues pendant la formation et lors des temps libres.

Excellente semaine. Venise étant un havre de paix, j'ai vécu une semaine dans un cocon. J'ai adoré les échanges entre collègues d' horizons différents. J'enseigne dans une petite école rurale et le fait de pouvoir rencontrer, échanger, avoir des enseignants qui ont une approche différente a été pour moi extrêmement enrichissant. J'adorerai avoir une deuxième semaine pour aller plus loin dans la théorie.
